Still good if you put it on shuffle and only end up hearing one song, however. As long as it's not the last one. 10 minutes of blah.
You know? I'm not one of those mindless diss-over-the-internet people. So when I write reviews, I'm afraid the band will read it and get mad. I think I'm a little paranoid. I'm also 15 and hoping to someday be able to see actual shows by people like this. I'm from Canada. The only "Canadian Tours" we have pree much go through London and Toronto. Incredibly lame.

Well maybe they should have made a one song ep! If you only can like one song at a time, then its a bad album. This should get an award for most generic album every made. This Message Edited On 01.31.09

Most generic album ever? That's going a bit far, but yeah, it's all the bloody same! And a one song EP would have defeated the "Debut Record" purpose, and made me shoot myself. I am musically ADD.

"If they drop their vocalist, of course."
Tyler booked most of their shows til the day they got signed, I highly doubt they would drop him on vocals unless he moved back to drums. The issue with this album is song structure and repetition.

I didn't know that tidbit about the band, but yeah, that's what I pretty much stated many times.

i usually like generic deathcore, but this is incredibly boring and monotonous. This album is the definition of shitty deathcore
|
| |
you mean shitty is the definition of deathcore right?

for the most part.

naw some deathcore is actually good, but the good albums are sadly overlooked because the deathcore label is looked down upon.

It wasn't bad, just generic.

It was generic, but I enjoyed it.

Generic deathcore. Not too bad though. Nothing really memorable but the album has some moments. Let's just hope they don't pull an Emmure.

Pretty generic, but not that bad.
The downsides are that the songs do sound similar and it's pretty typical drumming, riffing, etc.
The good things: they do add a little technicality to the mix, the songs sounds similar, and it's typical deathcore, but I think every genre has it's 'rules' (of course these rules need to be broken eventually, but not before you master them, and if I'm not mistaken this is their debutalbum).
And for the vocals: I think the high screams should go! They sound ridicilous like every really generic deathcore band. I would say: keep the lows, try to do something original with those, variation doesn't necessarily mean low to high screaming!
