Nice review. Come on, people, Creed write catchy music. Don't even try to tell me that "My Sacrifice" didn't get stuck in your head.

It's popular to dislike Creed after the fact. What is often ignored is that at their time they were fairly unique, advanced, and produced some great music. The eventual demise of the band and the egos of the members, as well as the hordes of unending copycats have ruined Creed in the minds of a lot of people.
Just because an artist sold-out doesn't mean that their music isn't good =)

Alter Bridge is better than any of those bands you just mentioned, Tenfoot. Dude, Alter Bridge is trying for a combo of old school shred and new rock. They are awesome. Tremonti is God. Nickelback and Theory of a Deadman (although decent) could never stand up to the greatness that is Alter Bridge....on a note about this album....it's all right....most spectacular thing is "What If."

Where do you get Myles Kennedy sounding like Scott Stapp? Have you heard ALL of "All That Remains" (Alter Bridge's most recent album)? You would realize that Myles is SO much better than Scott. Myles is not some Eddie Vedder wannabe..... If he sounds like anyone, Myles sounds like Chris Cornell (Soundgarden and Audioslave vocalist), not Eddie. Listen so you know the actual sound. You've probably only heard "Open Your Eyes," which was put on the radio because it was the song that closest resembled Creed-ish stuff.

Kennedy is at least 30 times better than Stapp ever will be.

The best song on the album is Young Grow Old, it may not have been released everywhere cause my cd's Australian, but it's the best on my cd.

This album pisses me off. I got it when I thought the hardest rock music in the world was Creed. Oh how it was good to be 7. It made me not able to sleep, and I cried because I couldnt.

This is a good album, probably Creed's best. However, I really don't listen to Creed that much anymore... although I have found that it makes PERFECT music to mow lawns to.... lol. But yeah it kind of bores me now.

Creed didn't copy everyone else. Everyone else copied Creed.

"Myles is not some Eddie Vedder wannabe..... If he sounds like anyone, Myles sounds like Chris Cornell (Soundgarden and Audioslave vocalist), not Eddie"
ok the new singer sounds like Eddie, and even if he did sound like chris in which i cant hear, he would still be ripping off another singers voice. and if hes not copying a voice, his voice is very un-original

Myles sounds much more like Chris Cornell than Scott. Scott is just the worst Eddie Vedder rip off ever...
And yeah, even though I hate this band with a passion, it's mostly because of Stapp's ego and crappy lyrics. The music is actually pretty good, especially What If and Higher.
Back in the day when this first came out, before they got massive, this was a good album.
With Arms Wide Open killed it though.

Creed had about 1 decent song off another album (Torn...I think that is what is called) but apart from that, these blokes were plain nu-metal, macho-posturing mob of tossers. Sure Tremonti and Phillips are alright musicians, but Scott Stapp was the biggest drama queen at the time... I heard a new song off of his solo album the other day on the radio...surprisingly, it sounds exactly like creed... This album did have pretty cool cover art though

Nu-metal?
Apart from that, you're spot-on.

Well, they were around at the same time as that scene was happening.
I spose their not really nu-metal, but all those bands were bundled together, bands like Limp Bizkit, Korn and Staind. All fake metal bands. This Message Edited On 04.05.06

I see what you mean. LB and Korn would be nu-metal, while Creed, Staind, Nickleback, and all that shite is post-grunge.
I agree with you though. People just get touchy with genres around here lol.

Yeh I know, all these bands can be classified into one genre though...shithouse.
