Really? That was my favorite song (along with Violet Dawn) when I first got the album, and when I first got the album I didn't like it much.

Yeah. I don't know why, but I just find that song to be very repetitive and boring.

for Opeth one should start with Blackwater Park

Why does everyone say this? It's probably their least accessible album.

Truth!

Good review. Album is close to 5 for me as well. There are a few tiny areas on this album where the vocals just don't fit.

Your review convinced me to check this out.

BTW does this have to turn into a discussion about Opeth albums?

Good review. Awesome album, but it drags a bit for me though, but is still a really fun listen if you ignore that fact.

This, plus catching you saying you didn't like The Great Cold Distance...but you adore Silent Waters.

Hahaha I know. I like TGCD, just not as much as Viva Emptiness, which was awesome. I confuse myself sometimes too, I just really really dislike this.

prepare to get your *** raped haha

That's why I'm gonna write it slowly and make sure what I want to say is solid and backed up flawlessly. This Message Edited On 01.13.09

Definitely not boring. Sure it's not always energetic, but thats the point.

Crysis is just an Enslaved hater. Which means blasphemy in my book. This is madness!!!

This is such a fantastic album. It's definitely one of my top for 2008, outstripping the underwhelming Watershed even. I'm probably the only one who holds this opinion, but my favorite song is Center. The last half is just so... orgasmic?

2 years later I still cannot reisist the urge to quote 300. Crysis is acting like a Persian right now however. Or are we the Persians and Crysis a Spartan?

Now that's a tough decision. Do we die honorably or win without honor with huge losses?

I think dying honorably is the Enslaved thing to do.

disliking Enslaved is Persian behavior.
