Yeah I'll definitely check it out. Sigrblot is described as black metal/dark folk metal on the metal archives. That sounds like something I would love.

Absurd was one of the few German bands that made halfway decent black metal.

They have a pretty extensive discography.

It's not notably different from that of other well-known black metal bands who started off in the same time period. Sadly, Absurd's one of those bands who have lost every single original member they had. Their first full-length is worth hearing, the demos are better.

yeah, they're really good. like I mentioned in my comment on your list, have a listen to their new split Weltenfeind, the GBK songs on that are fantastic, and the other two bands are really good as well, similarly awesome to GBK.

The Tenderhearted Manifesto is such an intense opener.

Yeah, it is. Kosherat doesn't really have such amazing songs, the goodness is spread out more. The songs on split are really good though, similar sound to Kosherat but just as heavy and forceful as Judeobeast. I can't stop tooting that split's horn, it's so good. Going to review it in the next couple of days, when I get a chance to sit down for a couple of hours and write it.

when was the material on the new split written? is it new or just stuff they'd had done but not recorded until recently?

I'm not sure, I can't really ascertain it from MA, but I don't think it's new material. I don't think it was even recorded recently because apparently the split was planned something like 3 years ago. The vocalist on the GBK side of the split (as far as I can tell) is Grimnir, and he died in 2006.
If someone can correct me on this, please do.
