this album is power metal, lol man.

Don't tarnish the name of Power Metal by comparing Children of Bodom to it.

Idk, Follow the Reaper was pretty gay. This is just dull.

Yeah, power metal is already the most tarnished genre. Anyway, Hatebreeder kills FTR in every way possible.

It's been a while since i last heard this.

The thing that put me off was the damn vocals, i dont think it fits the music at all.

Bed of Razors is pretty awesome though

Bed of Razors wins. Only track I have from this album. That's not to say I hate this album, I haven't heard much from it. Meh, I still think CoB are pretty good. Especially Hate Crew Deathroll.

What makes absolutely no sense to me is that you don't like this album, yet you suggest that people check out Follow The Reaper. That albums sounds damn near identical to this one.

This.

Guess people got tired of hating on Opeth and decided to switch over to another (formerly) great band

Bodom was definitely one of the bigger gateway bands for me, and after listening to this album again, there really isn't anything that special about it.This Message Edited On 01.04.09

Just because theres nothing special about it doesn't mean that its not still really good. Theres no way in hell this is a 2. Like Scream said, I guess its cool to hate COB now.

or maybe this release, along with other Bodom releases, is completely soulless and uninspired in everything but technicality. This is pretty much the Ride The Lightning of CoB, and everything about this album is just... lesser than generally acclaimed magnum opus Follow The Reaper. And follow the reaper is quite bland in my eyes.

As being the biggest power metal fan on this site (aside from who? RNR?? lol) it's pretty gay for the most part. 95% of Power Metal bands blow or rip off other power metal band.s
