Rasputin - the execution of a concept does not change the concept itself. I described the execution as poor.
I dunno, yeah its pretty obviously a puppet in a game sort of scenario, but if done properly, it'd have more artistic integrity that Anders pulls off. It could have been a loser you actually feel a little sorry for, instead (alot of the time anyway) it ends up a loser you'd prefer to just kick and say 'deal with it'. But at times you can just sense the edge of a 'raging against God' sort of thing as well.

Considering this is a piece of music, the execution is pretty much vital in judging the concept.

Not really Rasputin, as the concept comes first. I mean, theres no concept musically, its lyrically and in the art work. The guy came up with a relatively good idea, and went about thoroughly not pulling it off.

How? It's the same with say, a novel. The concept can be great but the novel still shit. Same with a movie. And thus, same with an album. The concept isn't the THING, its the IDEA.
