I give it a 4 based on the fact that this was my first Slayer album. Had listened to a few songs before it and then got this. So yeah, nostalgia factor applies for my 4, being more objective I'd give this a 3/3.5. But objectivity? Nah.

the songs you gave the lowest ratings to are actually my favourites, specifically Overt Enemy and In The Name of God. I enjoy the unpredictable (for Slayer) song structures and the way the feel builds during those songs, and the album in general.

The beginning of 'In The Name Of God' is cool, so I agree with InbredJed there. I also agree with R6 Rider, I like this album tbh.

The first three rule so hard. Tracks like "Screaming From The Sky" and "Overt Enemy" are quite solid, and the instrumentation never lets up. The sound quality is awesome. It's a bit of a letdown compared to previous releases, but it's a solid record.

"Slayer went experimental, did it result as a dissapointment or was it great? Maybe it ended somewhere in the middle."
*gives 4/5*
Okay.
