college dropout is better, but I like them both equally. Touch the Sky and the remix of Diamonds tie for my favorite song on this. I get bored with We Major fairly fast, mainly because the only great+long hip hop song I know of is Pharoah Monche's "Trilogy".

i guess i can see where you're coming from, but at first i was confused by this.

Nah it doesn't really make any sense.

he means that, objectively (which is a myth), college dropout is better, but subjectively to him, they're equal.

Ahh I see. Subjectively Kanye himself is an enigma, perhaps even to him. I've never been able to decide whether or not I think he's consistent, its weird. Its even worse now with this 808s thing, and him claiming that he's releasing a 'real rap album' in '09.This Message Edited On 12.31.08

that new rap album will be awful. 808s >>>>>> Graduation. that album will probably be Graduation 2.0.
|
| |
Probably but I hope he's taken into account the mixed reviews for Heartbreaks and not just 'dismissed all his haterzz omgz'.
|
| |
lol you do realize how arrogant he is?
|

Yeah, but I mean there has to be some critical thinking in that brain of his. The problem with Kanye is he caters singularly to one demographic and forgets about what a lot of hip-hop-heads know he could do with a studio and a mic. Sadly this may never happen, I wouldn't put any monies on it.

For some reason, I've never given Kanye's albums a listen. Strange, especially with this one, since I liked 'Touch The Sky' & 'Gold-Digger'. Since you don't have either of those 2 tracks in your Recos Maxy, I suppose I should give this a listen soon. And then I can give Kidye A a listen in the proper context.
PS: Good review mate.

Nah it doesn't really make any sense.
Basically, personal opinion isn't always equal to personal enjoyment. How bout if I said that I know Citizen Kane is a better film than Lethal Weapon, but I enjoy watching the latter a heck of a lot more?
that album will probably be Graduation 2.0.
Here's hoping it isn't, but after his last two albums one has to wonder if he's completely burnt out lyrically.

This would, of course, depend on which of the four Lethal Weapons we were discussing.

The better film in what sense?

Better acting, plot, direction, impact...

Aight so why is it less entertaining to watch?

no action sequences and no comedy. irregardless, Kane has been named the Best Movie Ever by numerous critics.
Anyways, I was just trying to explain myself and hopefully I got the point across.

| |
I don't really give a crap about critics, I'm just sayin' are action sequences and comedy the sole source of entertainment?

Haha, say no more.

Depending on the person, action sequences and comedy would be more "interesting"/entertaining than long sequences of dialogue (and no action).
