there's another greatest hits collection called "reinventing hell" and by the look of it, its got a better selection of tracks, less covers, and "FUCKING HOSTILE"!!!!!!!!!

Dimebag was definitely not overrated, why then did many guitar players attend his funeral and pay their respects including Eddie Van Halen ,Jerry Cantrell and Zakk Wylde.
The guy was megatalented. Rest In Peace, Dimebag.

Cowboys From Hell and Mouth For War are classic thrash songs.Good review but a bit more info on track by track would be great. What this record lacks is The Art Of Shredding. This Message Edited On 11.27.05

Elimintor Jr.....you can go fuck yourself Dimebag Darrell is one of the best guitarests to ever live on breathe in the history of this planet. However I dont recommend tube amps (where Dime's tone comes from) but that is the sound that made Pantera so unique and they are the only band that can pull the whole "Tube Power" thing off.
RIP Dime Bag Darell

I don't agree with him but you don't need to hate on Eliminator Jr.

He calls shit like he sees it and he doesn't just flame without any reason. He argues logically pretty much all of the time so I don't see a reason to get offended.

I think Dimebag was the greatest modern metal guitarist and I was saying that long before he died. I mean he got me into guitar and his work still blows my mind.

Putting all of that aside I don't expect everyone to enjoy his work, it had a unique sound and not everyone could get into it. Someone else not liking it doesn't detract from how much you do or how much it meant to so many people.

From the interviews I've read, dimebag sounded like he really enjoyed music and really loved the guitar. He seemed like a really nice guy, but alas his playing still sucks and Pantera remains a disgrace to metal.

Dimebag's playing didn't suck. Sure, his tone was a little bit annoying, but he certainly wasn't bad at guitar.

Pantera is an instant classic, no matter the cd or song. because a band who already has gained more respect then any other metal band around then looses its frontman. No-matter under any situation this band should be an instant classic even there newest cd.

R.I.P Dime

Btw, great review i loved it accept drag the waters should be more of a 4.0 that song is one of panteras only songs that use's a wooden cow bell.

I think the people who pick the songs for this album messed up a little bit. for starters why the hell wasn't domination on the cd its self. there are so many songs that should have been there like primial concrete sledge and the art of shredding.
