The band has evolved quite a bit on this album.

do you NEED multiple reviews for four albums that sound exactly the same?
"It's been said that all of Dragonforce's songs sound the same, but upon closer inspection, you could hear the pseudo-complexity of baroque era classical music in there."

uhhh, are you suggesting that baroque music has false complexity, that just appears as though it is musically complex? This is why this review fails, because you use words that you don't really understand.

Baroque sounds extraordinarily simple to the average person. To the average person, it's simply melodies.
Besides, when has DragonForce ever added elements of baroque music? By what your saying, you could apply that label to essentially every power metal band.

I wanted to say something witty about how bad this review was. I really did. But everything has been covered.
Damn.

What I don't get is how people taunt Dragonforce for sounding the same on all thier albums, and then go on and worship death metal and black metal bands that always sound the same as other such bands.
At least Dragonforce has a signature sound.

Correction: Dragonforce HAD a signature sound....
Before they beat it to a bloody pulp when they decided to do a second album.

Erm. Sorry 'bout the bad review guys.

This is what happens when you decide to write 2 reviews in a row at 3:30 (?)am out of sheer boredom.

I'll write better thought out ones next time.....

Lol you guys are a bit harsh. Dragonforce is unoriginal and unvaried now, but I think most of the reason you guys hate them is because they're overrated not because their music is as bad as you say.

It's called people who don't like power metal, or only like the "big" ones.

power metal is probably the only genre where the "big ones" are the only ones that matter

come to think of it that's actually a very true statement. I can't think of any power metal bands I really love that aren't "the big ones." Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica are definitely among the biggest of the genre. Lost Horizon is probably the only other power metal band I really love (unless you count Symphony X as power metal) but are they considered big?
