But the fact that its one song makes it hard to listen to part of it and then pick it up later and keep going. I don't often have 50 mins to just sit and lsiten through the whole thing and when i do often there's other albums i feel like lsitening to more which means this wont be getting a whole lot of plays even though it is very good

As I dawn on my second year at Sputnikmusic today
Hahaha, who talks like this?
I can look back and reflect where I was (musically) before I came here and where I rest now.
What the fuck? Seriously. Who talks like this?
The change is actually pretty astounding. My iTunes library has exploded, gaining more than some two thousand songs spanning the various sub-genres of metal, as well as some stretching into post-rock, ambient, and hardcore.
Whoa this is fucking fascinating!
However, my bounds have always been frustratingly set into metal, where they will most likely remain for a very long time.
Your bounds? Uh..what? I think you meant to say "boundaries" and even then it sounds pretty fruity.
However, despite the fact that I like to believe that I’ve heard everything in the world of metal, I am always pleasantly surprised when something comes along and proves that I am damn wrong.
What?
These albums have become fewer and farther between
Congrats, you've figured out how to use MySpace.
One such album, recommended to me about six months ago, has remained as the single pinnacle of pagan black metal in my eyes.
Most hyperbolic statement in the history of language
This album, the fifty-two minute magnum opus of sole band member Tomi Kalliola, alias Narqath, is nothing short of astounding and all-around perfect example of how songwriting ability and sheer passion for music can overcome shortcomings in instrumental delivery and production. .
Dude. Relax. Please.

Heathen certainly isn’t your normal black metal album, that is apparent before you even insert the CD into your computer. If you can acquire one of the 900 copies of this originally pressed, you will see an album cover with a cave-drawing of what appears to be a man and an animal of some sort, standing on the ground underneath what could be either the sun or the moon.
What? First, what does this have to do with it being a “normal” black metal album? Secondly, the cover is pretty awful.
Underneath this drawing is the word Heathen spelled out in Anglo-Saxon glyphs, which are all too common to black metal albums.
But...
Heathen certainly isn’t your normal black metal album
On the reverse side, the same glyphs spell out the album’s sole track “Heathen”, and underneath this is the running time of 51 minutes, 16 seconds. So, before this is even taken out of its case, you already know something is different about this album.
Make your mind up.
It is different in every sense of the word, different even from Wyrd’s proceeding albums, nothing before or since has really sounded like what is recorded on Heathen.
But you just rambled on incessantly about the album cover and font. This entire paragraph is more or less pointless.
This review is plagued by the same things. It's way too long for what you talk about. You basically wrote in circles. There's way too many commas, the sentences are never-ending and it's overly clunk and way too wordy. This Message Edited On 11.26.08

This started off amazing. But by the time i reached 40-ish minutes it was ok. Then when it ended I was glad it was over

Tried to give this another listen. If it were about 40 minutes shorter I would probably like it but this is still boring as fuck.

Bought the limited clear vinyl edition of this album ages ago. Finally listening to it again. It has some imperfect moments, but it's pretty epic overall. For being one song, it's also surprisingly coherent and cinematic. I really like the acoustic moments, the eerie mid-section, and how doomy Side B is.

Remember when I said that atmospheric BM used to be something special? Well yeah.
Next album will be better though
