title track was good but it wasn't "one of the greatest thrash songs ever written" good.
we obviously are never going to agree here. I really think it's THAT great.
Evildead was just a middle-tier thrash act that never broke open because they offered nothing exciting
i strongly disagree. i think they were really great. in fact, i heard rumors that they are getting back together. The reason i think they didn't make it is because of the grunge scene just breaking out
Why would they draw influence from a decent thrash act such as Evildead? I mean, in 1989, they already released "Survive". If anyone was to take notes, it would've been Evildead, not the other way around dude.
of coarse i see your point here, but Evildead were around before this album too. Just because Nuclear Assault had a bigger fan following doesn't make them the definitive influence over Evildead. I think they influenced each other quite a bit, which i mentioned. Maybe i should have talked about Sacred Reich's influence that can be heard on this album. perhaps that would have cleared things up a bit.
I mean if you want to call Evildead "old-school thrash" then alright fine go right ahead. Calling it "classic thrash" just makes me lol and is just a newfound pet-peeve of mine because of all of these new wave UK thrash bands dropping that line to draw attention to themselves.
ok, fine, i can see that as being a pet peeve. I'll change it even though the term really is fine to use in this instance.
Dare we say..Evildead>>Slayer??
duh :P

this album's awesome, but I prefer underworld. Someone should do a review for that one.
