and I still haven't listened to this, it's just sitting there in my itunes unplayed. I'm not sure what to expect with opinions being so different.

it's an uninspired generic death metal parody played by rock stars

Most tracks have different intros but as the songs progresses you can hear that both guitars and drums starts to sound similar to the other tracks.

Lets be fair here, isn't that the reason why we listen to death metal? hahahaha

Good review, don't agree at all.

I disagree, NMF was awesome and is hard to top I know, but "Unblessing The Purity" came after that and it lived up to everyone's expectations.

Listen to 0.53 of "Treasonous" and 2.39 of "Weak Aside" it's the SAME riff. It repeats in both songs quite a few times. Only thing in 'Weak Aside' it's kept at the background. These guys recycle their own stuff, that too from an EP that was only just released. :-o

Did you notice what I pointed out about those songs?

Anyway, this album has it's good songs no doubt. I just feel NMF and Unblessing are way better. NMF was like a totally different band. This Message Edited On 11.21.08

yeah your right they use the same riff but hell I still love the band and I love both of those songs.

btw I heard swano left cause he didn't want to make the old school death metal they were making.I think he wanted to put in a more progy touch, which the other members didn't want.Point is if he was till around they would have changed their direction completely.

Album is pwnage. Akerfeldt's growls on this album kill the poorly-produced vocals on the band's first record :P
