Nice soundoff etc etc. This looked longer in Word. Oh well.
Hahahaha did you read my soundoff for this that I wrote yesterday? Pretty much exactly what I was striving for. And no, this doesn't feel like a soundoff considering there really isn't that much to talk about. Great review Mr. Sky's.
This cd is nothing new from them, but it's still better than their first
So how is this betten then? Am I missing the point?

HAHAHA I just looked at the soundoff now. And as far as it being better than their first, the difference must be infinitesimal considering that they are basically the same album.
|
| |
all their stuff sounds the same to me tbh

I can't deny how damn tight they are, hence why I can't rate them poor.

i think this band is a ton of fun
"Dystopia exposes Beneath the Massacre for the one-trick-pony that they are. "
its their speed that make tracks like "Nevermore" (EOI) and "Untitled" (MOD) more appealing.
Lets not forget, this is a grind band with songs that are a little longer than your average band in the genre.

btw, if emmure is deathcore how is this deathcore also?
I think were generalizing these bands with the bands they tour with. This is borderline old dying fetus.

dantesfire theres nothing really to dissect. its all random ass tech riffs leading into random ass tech riffs and then the next song starts up.

Reviews like this are really good in my opinion. You get what you want to say out and there's no bullshit extra stuff that you have to wade through to get the real substance; it's all just there.

I wonder who ultimately decides what tech is good and what isn't therefore influencing every conformist's opinion; because in the end it's all the same except Gorod.

you forgot Neuraxis, Decrepit Birth, and Quo Vadis.

basically anything that has chugging and/or wank is hated on. BTM is a perfect band to rip on because they have both. That said, I liked Mechanics of Dyfunction more, it's extremely good driving music.
edit: Decrepit is one of, if not the best imo. Neuraxis and Quo Vadis are both good once in awhile I guess. This Message Edited On 11.12.08

Agree 100%. Diminishing Between Worlds is so good.

I've seen Decrepit twice in last couple of months, probably the best live band ever, second time especially they played flawlessly
|

Seriously, I saw them a couple months ago with Animosity and they slayed. They really have progressed since the first time I saw them when they just were just another Brutal Death Metal band opening for Suffocation a couple years ago. They are all nice dudes too. Do you know if their vocalist still lives in that makeshift shack in Santa Cruz? This Message Edited On 11.12.08
