the review is good, its just missing some kudos for the awesome opening track. and i dont find these guys generic, although the music on here is pretty stale about half the time.

for a minute I confused Raein with Lhasa, which is bad considering Lhasa has possibly the worst vocalist ever with some pretty cool music.
Raein are pretty cool though, only have the split with Daitro and the triple with Daitro and LhasaThis Message Edited On 12.15.08

Just stopping in to say I disagree with this review completely.
Il N'y was a point where Raein really stepped up their game and came up brilliantly. It definitely has very distinct sound. This album though, wow, to say it sounds like a watered down La Quiete is just downright silly. This album was like Raein saying, "hey guys we aren't generic," and they pulled it off quite quite well. They definitely experimented a lot more with their sound here.
A lot of it kind of reminds me more of CSTVT and other current American bands than Euro stuff, other parts get a little jazzy, and then you have those classic Raein riffs.
So yeah, lovethis album.

It's like a single 15~ minute suite, this is my first take on this band but it reminds me of like a cross between Daitro and...Suis la Lune? They remind me of somebody but I don't remember who

I mean I've only heard Tigersuit before this but there's a decent bit of songwriting diversity for a 15 min EP imo
