No offense to two of the previous three bands that I mentioned because they put on a fine show indeed, but were merely outclassed and taken to school by the youth.

I would change that to say that all three were outclassed. hahahaha

shifting between Tampa Bay death and Southern sludge

I would change Tampa Bay to Florida, seeing as the death metal scene wasn't just isolated to one location but rather a state.

Nice metaphor in the first paragraph. Nice descriptions. Great review. You certainly have me sold on this one. To tell you the truth, I underestimated the strength of Prosthetic Records until you pointed out Withered to me. Then I started researching some of their lesser known bands a little closer and I'm now discovering how talented of a roster they have at this point in time. All they need to do now is drop generic All that Remains and I would be even happier.............. Whatever makes you money right? hahaha

nah Tampa had the biggest scene in Florida so describing it that way is fine

wtf missed this review. So is this black metal or death metal? Here it says its black metal but metal archives says death metal. Either way good review, putting this on my ever-growing list of stuff to pick up.

No problem, thanks guys for the pos output. I go to Tampa Bay quite often but hardly bring any of the d.m festivities unfortunately. next time i'm putting on my Death shirt and cranking some olod school death.

I switched this to death because this isn't black. Well, i hope the mods approve the shift. This Message Edited On 10.26.08

From their myspace tracks, this sounds way more death then black metal. Nice find Balls.

Thank you Wizard. You have no idea how happy I was when I found this at f.y.e, reasonably priced 11 bucks at that. It made my day but this is definitely death metal, I don't understand the black tagging. I hope somebody will approve the shift.

I wish Canada had F.Y.E. stores instead of shitty HMV .

I've concluded that Joe Axler is a fucking man/bear/pig at drumming. Thye blast beats and doublebass are super cereal but the fills are out of the motherfucking spectrum in kickassery. I might edit some more to add standout tracks.

What's HMV Wizard? But i'm not sure that's a great idea. I have one decent FYE 45 minutes away and one super FYE 3 hours away. No time limit will restrict my metal though.

HMV stand for His Master's Voice, it's a basically a large mainly record store, although it also sells games and films.

It's odd, I thought Prosthetic usually put out some mediocre releases. Not terrible, just...very straight forward, solid albums, nothing that really seemed unique from the usual sound they have/had (somewhat hardcoreish elements.) This was a great surprise, I got the T-Shirt/CD package, and it was a wise decision, I think.

All the songs feel pretty damn good in my opinion...though I'm really into Christ Pathogen and Total Control. The snare is so loud, I love it...for once a non-triggered snare that sounds good in all dynamics.

Yeah, I'm sorta with Willie, I wasn't too impressed by what I heard from this but balls, jrowa, bodom, and jingle like it, so I'm gonna give it a couple of good listens.
