Dave, stop talking about my pink bits mate. As for being half bald, nowhere near it my friend... Nowhere near it.
James, the last time I had a 6 pack like that was last weekend... And it had nothing to do with abs.
McP3000, of all people to point the finger at, Chan would never bastardize your music. He is such a mellow young man who would never lie about anyone.

Something totally happened between you and Chan. I have no idea what but yr both like this (crosses fingers)

Nah, I have no beef with Chan. I did question him on that Top 64 comp he ran, but that was because he initially said it was the "top 64 most current frequent users". He later clarified by using different words that I can't recall right now.
Oh man, I can see Pink grabbing a didgeridoo & making an a$$ of herself.

Wasn't saying anything about a beef dog. I was saying how you two are bffl.
Anyway, can't wait for the ARIAs.

ARIA's were rubbish. The Living end were robbed of all those awards!
i mean they got one, but white noise is (to me at least) one of the best australian releases i have heard this year!

IRONPRIEST, I would have loved to see The Living End win more awards. I haven't given 'White Noise' enough of a listen to properly judge whether it should have swept everything, but they are just so deserving.
Of course, I am probably a little biased since I haven't been able to get into The Presets as yet.
|
| |
The Presets are far more relevant to Australian music right now than TLE.

Why? Because electro-rock or whatever they call it is the flavour of the month...???
|
| |
Because the Living End just keep doing the same old, same old. It's great for the most part, and they're a solid band, but the Presets are pushing the boundaries in Australian music. Dance in Australia is more popular now than it has ever been, which is weird for someone like me who was listening to pioneering Australian dance acts like Gerling and sonicanimation back when I was about nine.
2008 in Australian music has more or less belonged to the Presets, and their scoop at the ARIAs has basically concreted them as one of our best contemporary acts.

Meh, pushing boundaries is over-rated... In my humble opinion of course. It gets back to the age-old debate of what really is original nowadays. Don't even begin to try to tell me that what The Presets do is entirely original. But I see your point DavID.
|
| |
Of course it's not entirely original- it's equal parts Depeche Mode and New Order as it is Gerling and sonicanimation. But what they do is fresh, and exciting and appealing to a lot of people; so they must be doing something right.

Mate, "a lot of people" also think that Metro Station is "fresh, exciting & appealing". LOL!

John, I still think what you initially did when I listen to them now. Life is definitely not fair sometimes.
