I'm not going to pretend I'm well versed in middle eastern culture and therefore I will not hype an album that I do not understand
This.

I wasn't a huge fan of Mabool for quite some time as well...but then during one of my listens a long time after I first heard it, it finally hit me. It's probably one of my 10 favorite albums ever now.

It would probably "hit me" as well, if I wasn't bored with it about 4 tracks in. Same thing happens to me with Blackwater Park (only it happens right after Bleak).
This hits me right away.

Mabool is kind of a gimmicky album, to me anyway. It's just basic prog metal with guttural vocals, and then throw in some culturally relevant instruments for good measure.
The concept is REALLY cool, though.
Heh, I'm glad they made Bleak the second song, otherwise I'd never get to it.

fuck you guys Blackwater Park is like the best album ever

So says Sputnik but I think it's quite far from it.

Blackwater Park is third only to Omnio and Mabool, possibly even Hvis Lysett Tar Oss. I'm sorry Barry.

I think for myself, and I say, BWP goes on for about a half hour too long.
By "The Harvest", I'm bored with it.

Damn man, can't find this anywhere...
|

Last fm bro. Check Omnio from In The Woods... while your at it.
|
| |
Can't find samples from this album anywhere... even last.fm... listened to a couple songs from their previous album and even though the production sucked it was pretty good.
|
| |
The album is on last fm dude, just type in Sudden Death Syndrome and it'll pop up. The production on this records is quite unheard of for a unsigned band.

Aha found it. Listening to "The Dead Sea" right now and it's good.

This sounds more than good, its pretty awesome...good job Balls

Nice review balls. Will look into this,

Thanks bros. Just read what I posted to Crysis. That's the only way i know so far on how to listen to the album atm. When they get signed things should pick up for this. (sigh) Abyss that fuckstick.

Wow, excellent review balls. Band sounds very interesting as well. Might track this down.

Well, anyone who pretty much adores Opeth or In Mourning, stuff like that, it's almost a guaranteed book that people will like this.
