I have heard of both Genghis Tron and An Albatross and I enjoy both of them immensely...The Great Redneck Hope however is one that I have not heard of so I suppose I shall be checking that out relatively soon now...This Message Edited On 10.10.08

Yeah its definitely not as good as Genghis Tron but they're like 19...plus they aren't really trying to be all techy and grindy...honestly though I think they could if they wanted so maybe if they take themselves just a wee bit more seriously next time as musicians but still try to be uber ridiculous it will be a lot better...

I never thought these guys would release a decent record.
good job with the review.

Gracias...I tried to write a little bit more...loose I guess while still being informative and everything...

Hey, I don't live in Tennessee & I have absolutely no freaking clue what you are talking about in the 1st paragraph Brent. F**k, I turn off when ver I hear the original version of 'Crank That', so why would I want to listen to some screaming remake?
Anyway, unnecessary sweeping generalizations aside, this was a pretty good review. The lighter theme of it suited the band well, but just be careful you don't get too comedy-conscious with all your reviews mate. What works with one band/album won't with another.

Yeah I'm aware of that haha...I kinda took for granted that ISMFOF may not yet have spread to far off shores...This Message Edited On 10.11.08

I like how people think ISMFOF is taking themselves seriously haha. People these days :/
It's just some fun, isnt that the point of making music?

I have come to a conclusion...Things That Rhyme With Orange is just about one of the catchiest song I've heard this year...This Message Edited On 10.13.08

This album is the biggest guilty pleasure ever.
"Brief interviews with hideous men " and "Beauty is in the eyes of the beerholder " are just so addicting.
And the "Interlude" is one of the greatest things I have ever heard....

"The album itself is a hodgepodge"
Couldn't agree with you anymore. It is entertaining for a few listens, but definitely not meant to be taken seriously. Matt's attempt at the death growls seem a little weak to me. Nabul is just an amazing musician all around. For what they were trying to accomplish, it turned out pretty good.

no mention of the intro? i crack up at that thing every time.

I was surprised how good this actually is. Sounds like Dance Club Massacre beating the shit out of Enter Shikari while Hollywood Undead look on from the background. Niiice.

The intro is terrible though

gaah, any band/group that can get signed to a fairly large label like Epitaph by doin, in my opinion, a sh!t remix of an even more sh!tty "pop-hop" song isnt worth my time...
with that said, still a good review... scenester music 101

no rly, "Things That Rhyme with Orange" is greatness. It's even written pretty well.

Actually decent, I expected a lot less considering the songs that they have been posting on their
Myspace a while ago were...not so good. (I meant to give it a 3.5 but wasn't paying attention haha)This Message Edited On 12.20.08
