Vocally, TOTA does a great job of establishing their own sound by just...well singing.
Should't it be "by singing well"?
I don't wanna sound annoying, that's just a thing that caught my eye.
Otherwise, someone please explain me why it's correct that way 'cause English isn't my first language so I can learn something. This Message Edited On 10.06.08

No, it's wrong. He should either add a comma after "well", or do what you did.

i heard a couple songs by these guys, and my buddy was supposed to see them with ABR last night, I'm betting that it was pure nastyness

I met them at ABR and they were really nice dudes. I honestly think they played better than ABR. and their drummer is f***ing amazing.

this is pretty good in terms of metalcore, plenty of melody and catchy leads without BREAKDOWNNNNN
|
| |
there are tons of breakdowns wtf

After a few listens, they most definitely don't overdue breakdowns, like say, ABR. They have some real nice riffage, tight drumming, etc. Vocalist is the worst part of the band, he sounds too same-y to all the Solid-state bands

Yep but even more so i think.Theres some damn Meshuggah polyrythmic stuff, which is way more tech than August Burns Red ever did.

This is actually pretty damn good stuff.

the drumming on this album is goddamn ridiculous. playing a show with these guys next month. kinda stoked.
|

i can't get past the mediocre vocals. if the vocals were up to par with the riffs and drumming i'd be on board
|
| |
The vocals are obscure. After a while, they will find some way to grow on you. As of now, I love the vocals, but at first listen despised them. The vocals on the new track are much improved though.

cleary21 - I think you might be focusing on namedropping genre's a bit to much. Not a criticism about the review, more of the obsessive over-labeling that many are doing nowadays. Don't worry about when/if the band is switching from 'metalcore to mathcore' just mention it gets a bit technical in parts. Good review, anyways.
