trivium had potential back during ember to inferno, then they fucked it up by implementing capabilities they couldn't fulfill, such as screaming, singing, and songwriting

Metal is unfortunately a dying breed I disagree. Ever hear of the game Guitar Hero? It's getting tons of people into the genre of metal. Many people I know now love bands like Megadeth, Slayer, and Killswitch Engage because of Guitar Hero.

wait no, what is this "Guitar Hero" you speak of
i must know

metal is so much better/more interesting than it used to be, there was little variation a long time ago, which is understandable because it takes time for music to evolve etc.
and I agree with red, the opening paragraph (outside of the last sentence) makes it seem like you hate this more than bastard does.
|
| |
that is impossible.
I am this album's hatebreeder.

dayum sonn! you scary!
metal is so much better/more interesting than it used to be, there was little variation a long time ago, which is understandable because it takes time for music to evolve etc. yeah, it depends on what metal you listen to nowadays, if you listen to Sodom, Destruction, Nocturnal Breed, Hypocrisy etc then good, but if you listen to bands like Trivium, Machine Head etc then metal is of course a "dying breed"

Maybe... they're a terrible Metal band cause they're not Metal! :O
Whoa.
Now, I'll let people think about this. XD
I have alot of metalhead friends that are real sticklers about what's Metal and what's not.
Sadly, it's rubbed off on me, and that's what I've started going by.
They're considered "Metal-core" or whatever.
Ember to Inferno was a pretty sweet album, I must say and it's my personal favorite, but I like this album as well. Maybe cause I don't judge it on how Metal it is.
But idk, it's all opinion I suppose.
Sorry, I saw this review and had to respond! :P
