They really should have named the song Into the Mouth of Hades to have more Greek mythology references.
|

why do they confuse asian and greek mythology?
METAL DOES NOT NEED EXPLANATIONS!!! Seriously though...did you expect them to be well versed in mythology...I mean its Trivium...

i highly agree for some odd reason
|

Title track is in no way at all guilty of being too long.
Its the only great song on here and is pretty much perfect.
|
| |
...so which trivium songs sound like metallica songs again? Still have yet to hear any.
|
| |
None really.
The actual music doesn't sound like Metallica at all.
|
| |
"but this 'I hate Trivium' bandwagon is ****ing ridiculous"
I know...the only reason to so vocally dislike a band is because there is some sort of resentment that they are popular in the first place.
If that is not the case...then why be so vocal about it? I'm open to explanations. There are a million horrible bands...so why aren't people so vocal about all of them instead of focusing on trivium...oh yea it's because a lot of people like them.
|
| |
this is ok. not awful or anything

"Its kind of obvious that a rise in people liking a band will result in a rise of people disliking them proportionately,"
There are plenty of popular bands without hate-movements. I thought that was obvious but I don't know. By your logic the Jack Johnson reviews should be even more filled with album hating rants, considering his album was #1 in the country...but it isn't. Your logic is just wrong...isn't that "obvious"? Don't be upset that there is an anti-trivium bandwagon...just accept it...or just argue it unsuccessfully and call me a troll or something.

Okay fine lets use Underoath. Not nearly as many people criticizing their new album, which if you ask me is the epitome of bland metal...or metalcore or whatever you want to call it. They should have let Adam D edit it the same way he edited Define the Great Line.
I agree with your overall theory, but I just don't think the logic applies in the same way to trivium. I honestly believe that trivium could release the best album in the world and people would rant against it without even listening to it just because it's trivium...or convince themselves to hate it before listening to it. The only other recent metal album that I can think of that has produced such a hate-mob mentallity is Death Magnetic. People love to hate certain bands, and trivium is one of them.
