...3.5 for Jessica Simpson!? I seriously have more respect for Nickleback, and trust me that respect is very low.

I'd tap it.

If only it would make her music better, I'd do it so many times...

I have less respect for Nickelback. She has natural ability and she's making money doing what she loves... and she's actually good at this country thing.

Who seriously listens to anything Jessica Simpson is singing if you have visuals at the same time.

In regards to the acutal music, I have heard some of this and it's below par, but she's not a country singer so what were we supposed to expect?

I respect your opinion and I generally enjoy your reviews, but we rarely seem to

see eye to eye. You're right that my love of country is minimal, but my love for

music I enjoy is pretty significant and I enjoy this.

overall, I find country to be very bad. So I wouldn't be suprised if I listened to this and my rating is much closer to Iluvatar's.

However, this review is very good. This Message Edited On 09.14.08

What makes this any different than Faith Hill or Carrie Underwood? You think it sounds forced because of her past.

She doesn't love what she does, she probably doesn't even understand the words she's singing.

It is proven that is it forced because of her past, yes.
And it's not possible that her past was the part that was forced. That she was young and hot and Brittany Spears was the big thing and that's what the label talked her into?
She has been forcing this country thing ever since she realized she wasn't going to make it anywhere as a pop artist.
I'll agree half-way, but only that she wouldn't have gone country if this whole pop thing was working out, but I still don't think it's forced.
I am going to be a faggot and say straight out if you think Jessica Simpson has any real artistic integrity, you are a fool. She and her managers made a decision, an they stuck to it.
I don't remember ever saying she had an abundance of artistic integrity, only that she was making good music and that she sounds better with country than she has on her pop albums.
Btw, you named Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood, both of whom are very very very pop country, with a heavy leaning on the pop.
You're right. I named people in her peer group. She's not Hank Williams Jr. or George Strait.

I think to make good music you need musical integrity. She's like...a hot chick that some label pays to dress in barely any clothes and dance around singing the most generic lyrics.
