Good review. But imo HCDR was their highlight. After that, things went very wrong indeed.

AYDY? was great, I thought.

Blooddrunk is decent, tho. Not nearly as horrible as everyone says. It's still enjoyable.

he's pretty much right, as far as non-underground metal goes, except I find this near the top of that particular heap

Well,what does it really have to compete with? All Hope Is Gone and A Sense Of Purpose.

A Sense of Purpose slaughters this, which isn't saying much. All Hope Is Gone is pretty decent as well.

Most modern metalcore beats this out too.

However, this release beats new A7x, Trivium, Atreyu (not really metal anymore), and any new generic Melo-death band.This Message Edited On 12.06.08

There, all great metal albums released fairly recently that blow this album out of the water. Hell, even the new In Flames is better than this.

I dont disagree that these are better (aside from scar symmetry) but when you use the term modern metal we're talking Hot Topic popular which none of these bands are except for In Flames but No Sense of Purpose is unforgivable
