Hey you gave this album the same rating as I did in my review! Great minds think alike I guess ;)
PS: Jon wasn't molested by anyone. He said in an interview that his parents didn't give him enough attention when he was being a whiny little bitch [my words, not his], so he "felt like" he was being molested. Sounds like he's disrespecting people who were literally molested, but what do I know?

The only KoRn album worth listening to.This Message Edited On 08.20.05

I think the good albums are Korn, Follow the Leader, and Untouchables. I have to say that Life Is Peachy has too many fillers, Issues has terrible lyrics, and Take A Look In The Mirror supplies metal-elitists with some evidence that Korn is a talentless band. Korn is a truly brilliant album, IMO. Nowadays, songs are riddled with hate and rage and angst. But in 1994, Korn was certainly original with their definitive sound and animalistic lyrics. Jonathan Davis is a wonderful singer, even though his lyrics are pretty bad most of the time. I think that Korn (the album) should be given more credit, and not characterized by the rabid fanboys.

This is my favorite Korn album, and I agree with Iai, Korn did go downhill from this point.
|

I don't think anything on Life Is Peachy is filler. KoRn might have had bad time in the studio recording it, but the fact that it was a humour album where they basically make fun of themselves makes up for it.

This was my first CD ever when I was like 8, gotta give props to korn because they really paved the way for my musical taste (it got much better after them )
3.5/5 (5/5 when i was 8 ;))

I think the first two Korn albums are amazing."Follow the Leader" was pretty good as well as was "Issues".
The drums are soooooo good on this and "Life is Peachy".I also love the songs on this album...I could listen to this cd 10 times and never get bored.

This was my first foray into metal beyond Metallica, and I must say, this is still one of the better albums I've heard thus far. Totally unique, even by today's standards, and while the lyrics are weak occasionally, this showcases some of Korns best work.
noah, duke of west chester

ah this cd is okay!

Korns finest hour. All songs on this album are fantastic i feel. David's drumming was masterfull, its a sad thing that in KoRns last two albums David's drumming has been found wanting, i really do belive David is one of the worlds best drummers, his clean style and rythym is sensational.
|
| |
Hour, whatever! I wouldn't say David's drumming is masterful, but I know what you mean. His best drumming is on Faget and Ball Tongue. It's a million times better than his very down-beat oriented style on the latter albums. He's certainly not one of the world's best drummers, though.
|
| |
Yer his drumming on Faggot especially. No but ive got 3 dvd's on David, and he hides he good drumming, i think he is a top drummer.
|
| |
Dude, it's Faget. They spell it wrong on purpose. What dvd's do you have by the way? I have Deuce and Korn Live.
|
| |
Dude??? Oh well, that explains why the picture of that fuckhead is in your dp fucked up americans. If you met me in real life, you wouldnt say dude to me. Anyway DVD's i have... Deuce, KoRn live, KoRnography, Live at CBGB's, Live At The Apollo, and KoRn - behind the scenes Aus special. Thats where you can see all of Davids Drumming, and boy is it good.

| |
NuMetalMania, I'm not American.
What the big deal about me saying dude? And why wouldn't I say to dude to in real life? I don't understand your hostility.
|
| |
If anyone has a link so that I can see David's "good" drumming, please post it on here. Until now I've always found him to be nothing special because he's never done anything besides a basic hip-hop beat on any Korn album.
|
| |
Will do, i will look out for one Thor. Do you have Self Titled Thor? I couldnt call any of his drumming on Self Titled (or even Issues) basic hip hop whatever. But yer i will look out for a link.
Sorry Ocelot, i thought you were American, please Ignore my hostility, i do often have the occasional under age beer. Oh and yer the word 'dude' just annoys the absolute shit out of me, but never mind. What nationality are you then?

Still loving the songs on this cd even today, probably their best cd that I've ever listened to by them. This is what got me into them at all. Definitely love Faget and Ball Tongue, two awesome songs.

This is definately Korn's best album. It pretty much went downhill from here and now they arrive at... industrial? Hmm...
"Not a fan but heard this album when my friend was listening to it in her car, not my type of stuff I guess. Anyways, Korn is a nu-metal band that spawned bands like Slipknot and Mushroomhead, and thats not saying much."
...Mushroomhead were around before Korn guy.
