One day I was driving at around 3 am in the morning in the city streets, while drinking a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Everything was silent and I was listening to this so everything seemed to click.

Better than Blue Lines?
Of course not, but this still jams hard.
It's sleek and sexy, great vibe.

Makes me think how amazing Massive Attack are. Shame their last few albums have been shite

Agreed, although it doesn't bother me that much - their first three albums are more than enough.

Defo. Taken on their own them 3 are a holy trinity of inventive 90s stoner trip hop boundary extending timeless classics. I haven't spun Blue Lines in years I'm going to get involved.

Blue Lines is my favourite man.
I've always thought that this album (Protection) was a pretty good representation of where club culture was at at the time, given that raves had been outlawed, etc. Pretty much represents the rise of the modern, shiny, soulless nightclub/superclub.
Then again, I was only a wee child when this came out...

I'm old as fuck and got this when it came out. I was slightly disappointed as I absolutely loved Blue Lines which was definitely the most origional and mind bending. Mezzanine was/still is different league though.

I'm old as fuck
Mate, that's the quote of the century. To be honest, I feel fucking old with all that bullshit that's being perpetuated in the media. Just leave me alone...

Am I the only one that prefers this to Blue Lines?
The vibe just hits me a lot harder, and the T/t is probably my favorite track between the two albums
