Yeah, I'm with breakdown on that, I thought the vocals were fine, wasn't what took away form this album for me at all.

"Hyper Dweedle Weedle Wankbot 9000 "

sweeping? that's just the greatest description ever. lmfao

very impressed with the writing here. not a big ASP fan, i have plenty of other deathcore directions to travel, yet this review just might make me open up to them.

too early to feature

eddie was a great vocalist but he's bad on this album, he sounds tired and lifeless.

I also didn't mind the vocals. As for the drummer, Mike Kuykendall. He is straight up awesome. His brilliance lies in what he does in the background. (Brilliance may be a strong word but go with me). Sure he can bust out double bass and gravity blast but he chooses not to. He instead does an outstanding job of using his cymbals for fill opportunities rather than just something else to hit really hard. He wasn't quite as awesome on this album as he was on tPoE (go figure) he was but still great. One of my favorite metal drummers. No joke.

Glad everyone likes the review! I really tried to make this one good.

By the way, I was dfinitely torn between giving this a 3 or a 3.5, so I can easily see why it would get a 3.

"Black Gold Reign" is rather sick.

The Rusty Cooley influenced leads are terrible here.

Holy crap, you're right! Apparently, Cooley plays the solos in From So Far Away. I really did not know that. But then again, how could I even know when the lead guitarist was a student of Cooley?
