@Spat
Yeah, I noticed I forgot to really elaborate on the actual sound of the band itself for those who are unfamiliar last night but I had class this morning so I didn't get around to adding it but I believe I fixed that little mishap. This Message Edited On 09.03.08

Pretty sure there wasn't any Sanskrit in this album. I could be wrong though, maybe I'm not paying attention. The first song is Farsi though.

Sorry, I just lumped all the mid-eastern dialects together and assumed nobody would really get all up in arms about it haha. Either way, they still use the spoken word stuff with mid-eastern languages...

I've had this cd for quite a minute, so i'll be submitting a review for this soon.
Best cd that this band has put out so far and it never seems to skip a beat for me.
Uzbekistan is sickkkk, one of my top songs on this cd following the Lude/Cellophane combination.
Great cd, nice review.

Cellophane, The Heraldic Beak..., and I The Swan are my current favorites. Uzbekistan has a few parts that are really awesome but it just doesn't really flow well as a song to me...

Uzbekistan is more about the beat and the song changes for me, also anthony green using effects on his voice it sounds like in certain parts.
Cellophane owns my soul

The beats and changes are what makes the song, but the sections just drag on way to long and by the time it changes into something I've already lost interest. That's just my opinion though. And yeah, Cellophane is currently my favorite song...

Great review. I love the band and the album (really the only anthony green music i like) but this is a real trippy album.

yea, the girl singing in I, The Swan got to me at first, but when that voice started to scream, it really surprised me, and I fell in love with that song.

I The Swan is a wonderful song, and that's honestly the part that made me really love it too.

I can understand where you're comming from with Uzbekistan completely.
Another Leather Lung is climbing up on my fav's for this cd quickly too.

Uzbekistan is kind of starting to grow on me, but I still feel like its the weakest song on the album. The first part just goes one for way to long without adding enough to be interesting...

I love this album i listened to it over and over again i couldn't stop it's so good and Rich balling actually sings alot more in this album. Him and anthoney green are amazing together especially in I,the swan

Rich Balling had a lot of vocal contributions on Lover as well, and aside from Horses In The Sky, the songs that he was the main vocalist on are probably the best tracks on the album.
P.S. The Heretic is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in my life. Up there with songs like Saeglopur by Sigur Ros IMO...This Message Edited On 09.09.08
