People who begin sentences with 'Am I the only one...?' should be shot on the spot.

yea i like foo fighters but as practically all of you have said this was a pretty blah cd..i mean i only like 5 songs..
tc & ts is a really awesome cd..like most of you have said
this couldve been more but they just..i dont kno

oh and unknownST said the cd does kinda regain some dignity

its kinda as if FF knew that the songs weren't that great so they decided to put a sucky song then a good song then so on and so forth

nice review.. i liked what you said about "lonely as you" cuz i thought the same thing
*thumbs up*

Learn to fly was the only resonably good song by FF, that and its video

*chuckles to himself*

Other than that they get really repetative. Nice review

At one point, the Foos were my all-time favorite band. I loved the fact that while not over the top flashy or intellectual, they could still make enjoyable rock music that had a certain sense of humor to it. Then One by One came out. In my opinion, it was one of the most disappointing albums I've ever heard. There are only three songs on the album I liked -- Have it All, Disenchanted Lullaby, and Overdrive. Besides losing the quality of songs like on TCATS, the sense of humor was no more. Granted, after this album, I started to listen to music other than the Foos and broaden my horizons a bit. With this album, they lost their sound, humor, and a #1 fan.

The singles were great, but the rest of the album is just way too boring.

this album has been unfairly branded as a bad album - it is not.. it is not their best for sure.. but if you are into what I call "Power Rock" - fast guitar riffs, heavy drumming, powerful and strained vocals of which sound heavy and emotional then this is a good album! have it on in the background and you will think its a great album - its only if u scrutinize it closely you can criticize it the songs All My Life, Have it All, Low, Times Like These, Discenchanted Lullabies and Come Back are all catchy and I think that the comments have been mostly misleading - it isnt as good as the Colour and the Shape but this is a tall order to ask for each album to be like!

This isn't a bad album, but it doesn't compare to the likes of the colour and the shape. All my life, low and tired of you are my faves. Good review as well.

Probably not as bad as people say it is, but still not that great. The album does start off fairly strong, but then dies down until the last song. Come Back is still one of my favorite FF songs.

Foo Fighters are an average band with nothing over the top. This album made all my feelings come true about them. I've liked some of their singles (Everlong and Learn to fly the best ones), so i decided to go out and buy this for the song Times Like These (I found All My LIfe very boring) hoping that the rest of the album would be as catchy... I was wrong.
As for all the Nirvana comments, Nirvana was a good band... nothing to them, just very great songs. If Kurt hadn't killed himself they'd judt be another band with great albums. Not the god-like image we hold, but still they wouldn't be looked down upon... at least IMO

Dave Should have stayed behind the drum kit for the Queens of the Stone age. Josh Homme and Dave Grohl could change the whole landscape of rock and roll if they work together on a few albums.

Theres plenty of filler on One by One, but its above average filler in my opinion. The good songs are SO good however that I think One by One is still an awesome album. All My Life, Lonely As You, Come Back are amazing, and TIMES LIKE THESE changed my life. Its one of the best songs ever.

I love this album, Halo, and Tired Of You are in my top Foo's tracks. And I think i'd say I like this album more than There Is Nothing Left To Lose.
