Not as good as Doctor's Advocate but you're a little off with this review, this album is sick, prob my fave of the year, the game is the best new rapper around

I always liked your pop reviews but maybe that's because I was actually familiar with what you were talking about. Here, you could probably use another paragraph expanding on the quality of the individual songs, you mostly seem to reference guest appearances which we can figure out just looking at the tracklisting. Other than that, nice stuff.

also, i dont think this review is very good at all. you rip the album for not having a consistent flow/theme/whatever, you're completely missing the point that this album was designed to be a collection of singles, good songs, produced by different people to give it a really varied sound. You're analyzing this like a rock album, looking for themes, i dont think its far to do that with this. Plus, where as Doctor's Advocate had a loose theme of consistently naming himself the new Dr. Dre, the L.A.X. has a loose theme of the constant LA love and rep, although that has always been a theme in his music, this album is the LAX, the album from LA. I dont know, i think this album is great.

I don't care about a concept or continuing thing, I care about an album with no flow to it and conflicting sounds and ideas. One second he's a gang banger the next he's warning us about being a gangbanger, then he's all about the west coast, then he's all about uniting east and west. It has nothing to do with theme and everything to do with quality consistency and integrity.

The fact that it's all over the place isnt' even as big of a deal when you consider most of the songs arent good. The ones that are good are really good though.
