This is better than Somberlain and Reinkaos.

This is better than Somberlain and Reinkaos.
That is blasphemy in its purest and simplest form

This is better than Dissection.

I just got Dissection's DVD in the mail and I am ready to defend them until death
But honestly, these guys are like dissection with poorer riffage.

No, they're like Dissection with a cohesive theme to their melodic development throughout the whole album. Dissection just makes songs - Far Away from the Sun works like a symphony, each piece leads into and gives meaning to the next until the work is finished.
Also, Dissection's "riffage" is little more than an Iron Maiden ripoff. Which isn't to say that it's bad, but if one can say this album is a poor copy of Dissection(which is retarded), it should be even more obvious that Dissection's an even poorer copy of Iron Maiden.

Storm of the Lights Bane worked extremely well as a full album, I can see how Somberlain and Reinkaos were more just songs (which they were) but I'm pretty biased towards SOTLB, being the first "black metal" album I ever listened to over 2-3 years ago.

I just finished listening to The Sombelain and i found it worked very well as an album. The songs flow together very well and the acoustic songs seem to seperate the album into different parts which also helps.
Last time i listened to this however, i got bored a little past the halfway point

Then you didn't really listen to it. Not closely. There's more to an album "working very well" than how well its songs flow, since the perception of "flow" changes from one person to another. If you investigate the actual composition of this album, however, you'll notice a few distinct features; the restatement of a certain melodic motif in every song, the introduction of a narrative structure in a song only to repeat it with a changed final movement, and the continuous increase in sonic layers. Dissection, whether one likes or dislikes them, makes comparatively simple music.

This is on par with the Somberlain, immense album so far (about half way through)

Album still slays. I want to bump it up to a 4.5, but I don't think I can.

A criminally underrated album. I might even go as far as to say it’s a notch above The Somberlain and Storm of the Light’s Bane (both of which I believe I’ve rated as 4’s) but it’s still pretty damn close.
‘In the Nightside Eclipse’ has my vote for the best bm album cover ever but this one's pretty freakin great as well.

No this isn't better than Storm of the Light's Bane or The Somberlain. Those albums are both pretty much black metal classics. This is still great if you want some Dissection influenced melodic black metal though.

I didn't realize you had hearing problems, scream. That must suck for someone who frequents a music ratings site.

You act like we're saying that this album sucks. That's not the case. This band just isn't better than Dissection.

No, I'm acting like your taste in music sucks, which it does, since you keep saying Dissection's brand of musically simple rock-heavy Iron Maiden knob-slobbering is better than this.
