I've been listening to a lot of "Tragedies" by Funeral lately. It's quickly becoming my favorite.

I've been meaning to listen to that for some time. It's a more funeral doom album than their newer, cleaner sound, isn't it?

Definitely. It has a different female singer and her voice is far less operatic and a lot more "raw" (which makes it more intense and emotional, I think). It also has male death metal vocals, and it is definitely slow as hell and the songs are all really long but good with different movements.

That sounds really good actually. I like the cleaner sound, but it doesn't hold my interest very well. I got bored pretty quickly with From These Wounds, even though I thought it was good.

It is really good and the production is definitely less polished than the two albums that come after it. I still have it rated lower than the other two, but that's going to change real soon.
