It blows my mind that a song like Batdance could be a number one hit at any point in time. Not because it's not a good song, on the contrary it's fucking awesome. But just because it's so weird and totally anti-commercial, it's a weird mish mash of 3 different melodies, film dialogue, Prince adding random comments, Prince shredding a guitar solo out of nowhere cause he's Prince. It's mainly an instrumental track with dialogue snippets but it still feels like a complete and unique piece of music.
