He met a girl, settled down, now thinking of starting a family.

When he left college, he got a job in the advertising business, selling beautiful billboards.

good album, can't help but think they could have done so much better though. Their demos piss all over a lot of the tracks on here.

@ AtavanHalen

I reviewed this and was planning on getting into writing more reviews, but ended up focusing writing about football instead.

I keep meaning to write some more, but for the minute I'm busy at Uni and writing at http://theythinkitsallover.wordpress.com

Hope you liked this one though.

I hated this album when I first heard it, but it has grown on me since then. The more I listen to it the more I enjoy it.

Cassius has to be one of the single catchiest pop songs ever.

this is pretty cool, i just bothered to get it. drummer reminds me of a shittier maps and atlases. still cool though, kind of has that "math" feel, but its all pretty straightforward.

Foals satisfyingly build on their earlier singles and release an excellent & cohesive debut LP in ‘Antidotes’. While the trademark combination of angular guitars & synths remain on infectious toe-tappers ‘Cassius’ & ‘Balloons’, there is greater attention to detail in the band’s song-writing here. It is occasionally caught a little in-between ideas & the lyrics are usually too cryptic, but tracks such as the groovy ‘The French Open’, 5 minute ‘Red Socks Pugie' & tempo-switching ‘Two Steps Twice’ suggest more ambition, while still remaining accessible & catchy. The addition of horns on many songs is also a masterstroke on this album which is admittedly a little front-loaded. Recommended Tracks: Cassius, Balloons, Red Socks Pugie & The French Open.

would say this album is perfect if I didn't expect them to better it with their next effort.

So, what do you think of TLF?

Dude I still don't have tlf for some reason...

Oh yeah, I'm an idiot. I should do it already.

Yeah they're perfect for walking around. I think they are like the equivalent of Minus the Bear for the British indie scene. Not exactly in terms of sound but like both bands are the poster-children for their respective scenes if I'm making sense at all.
probably not whatever.

Yeah obvs haha. Idk though, I tend to like American bands better. Or at least for hardcore and hardcore-based genres, which is most of what I listen to soooooo....

But brits make some good indie-rock.
