The rapper for this band sounds like Barack Obama if he rapped.

I hear ya and the pos' is appreciated. Dropping the rating as well cause the way I have this album described, it makes it sound worse then a two.

Does this guy actually make any money writing reviews because this is about the worst one I've ever seen. You must know nothing about music, you actually thought BONZ did ALL THE VOCALS ON THIS? You can't tell a black person's voice from a white one. Jesus Christ, everyone in the band other than Bud was singing and Donnie Hamby of DoubleDrive whose unbelievable sings the chorus of Drawing Blood. You wrote this review 8 years after this album came out... c'mon. At least take the time period into consideration you clown... Pantera brought these guys out in '98 and Mojo were one of the best live acts probably ever back in the day. The production by Sneap is AMAZING and the tuning is in A sharp (or the majority of it is) you imbecile not Drop D... how could anything that low be in Drop D. You're not even close... boring rhythm section? Obviously you listened to probably 2 songs and didn't like their message so decided to rip them but your lack of knowledge on music is very blatant. This band crushed Rage Against the Machine and this album for it's time is what Peter Gabriel would have wrote if he played this kind of music. The arranging, harmonies, overdubs, samples and everything are nothing short of genius, the guitar leads exceptional and for this band to have received so much props from guys in bands like Pantera, Testament, Soilwork and guys like Zakk Wylde who all love Rich Ward. Anyone even remotely educated knows this is as badass as it gets for the rap-metal style. Nothing even comes close to comparing, Rage and Linkin Park are 2 of the worst bands ever, and you're an even worse reviewer. Pathetic.

I've owned this album since it came out and even at the time I thought it was shit (this was given to me when I used to think this music was cool). So what if I have the tuning off, the riffs still suck monlithic balls and your analysis comes across as nothing more than a fanboyish rant.

This band crushed Rage Against the Machine and this album for it's time is what Peter Gabriel would have wrote if he played this kind of music.

Are you being serious or are you 5?

Yeah I also mentioned you couldn't tell there were 4 guys singing instead of 1 too you idiot. Way to just dodge my points, obviously you're not articulate and it's incredible you get to write reviews for what I guess is a semi-well known site. You must be tone-deaf and have zero coordination or rhythm in your body, that would explain everything. Gabriel is a huge influence on Rich Ward and it comes through a bit on this record.

Who really cares if it's one or four guys doing the vocals, they still suck immense amounts of dick. I don't think you even read the review tbqh. I never once pointed out the tuning of these guys (only the tuning of most nu-metal bands). Why don't you go and check out in my profile what I love in metal and maybe you will see why myself and 99% of the metal community hates on these guys. Just because they've been given props by these so called "credited" bands such as Testament, Soilwork and the awful Zakk Wylde doesn't mean shit, they probably party with them on the road have a bias opinion towards them because they're homeboys or something. This review is an opinion and you don't have to agree with it and get all personal. Please feel free to write a pos' review for this.

Terrible review, with some mistakes, do your research. This is just a rant. Not even the slightest attempt at objectivity, even tho objectivity is impossible anyway.

Mistakes:

1. The growling/clean vocals are the guitarist and the bassist, not Bonz.

2. The lyrics you quoted have nothing to do with your lead-up rant about the US and guns etc...they refer to their career.

I'd also like to mention that plenty of other bands convey the same patriotic, pro-troops, the US is the best message, (one huge band that comes to mind is Black Label Society), which you have highlighted because of your bias toward this band and toward someone with a differing view to yours.

On another point, these guys hardly ever, if not never sing about their 'sh*tty lives' a'la Korn/Limp Bizkit.

Backing vocals on 'Set The Tone' makes the song what it is.

either its the producer's job or guitarist's , its a well done job.

wats laughable about this? this reviews an anarchy against what you dont like - numetal or the band itself- nutin more.

I want to correct a couple of things. First, this isn't a nu metal band. Stuck Mojo is actually the first rap-metal band. They started in 1989, four years before Rage Against the Machine, and Stuck Mojo is actually better than RATM for not only their musicianship, but because they aren't insanely left-wing like RATM.

As for this album...I don't know if this particular one is any good, since I haven't heard it, but you should have read up on the band before you wrote it.

Rich Ward is a talented guitarist who's been appraised by metalheads for his non-rapfused works. He's done solo albums and guitar work for the band Fozzy. Stuck Mojo is actually the only rap metal band that metal sites talk about without trashing, even though it's not the best band out there, but definitely miles away from Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, whatever.

Whether or not you think they're a good band or not, it wasn't a good idea to write a review like this and not acknowledge that these guys pioneered a genre. Whereas RATM and Limp Bizkit were the highest selling rap metal bands, Stuck Mojo had the notation of not only being the first rap metal band, but being a little more heavy metal-oriented and just happing rapped vocals over more traditional southern metal. These guys didn't use funk metal or hip hop beats or hardcore punk elements like a lot of other rap metal bands.
