I haven't heard anything from this guy since "Trashed". How does it compare?

Off the bat... by all accounts Ozzy is apparently just playing the harmonica riff on "Wake The Dead." No way you heard his voice when he didn't sing on it.

The concept is awesomely cheesy.

Alice Cooper is one of my favourite classic rock artists. I will be certainly checking this album out.

I really like this album a lot. Definitely my favorite Cooper album since Brutal Planet. You have got to give Alice credit. So many other rockers in his age group like Ozzy, Aerosmith, etc put out mediocre or poor albums these days. Alice still puts out good stuff. This one has a 70's vibe about it and is probably in my top five behind Welcome To My Nightmare, The Last Temptation, Brutal Planet, and Killer.



I don't want to butt in on the comments from WYM and Longtee35, but let me add this. I don't think WYM meant anything by his comments though it did come across as a little stern. Concerning the Sickthings UK site. I know about that site and it is overall well done. If you are an Alice fan or want to know more, definitely go to that site. But the reputation of the messageboard is relatively poor from what I am told. Some people are given certain liberties others are not. Whether that exists on this board or not, I am not certain. Sickthings UK has a mixed reputation that is probably deserved on both sides. I have heard plenty of good things and plenty of negative ones. WYM you should not be shocked that more than a few people have thoughts on that particular site. If I am not mistaken, WYM is also involved with the Nights with Alice Cooper site which is a very civil site.

Longtee or whoever you are, for one, I'm not sure this is the proper place to be discussing your feelings about a website like this. However, I do feel the need to make some personal comments here.

For one thing, I am NOT an administrator on that site, nor is STUK in anyway shape or form MY site. I make some contributions there to the site itself, but I am not even credited under my screen name. The site's owner is mentioned at the bottom of the front page. I have never claimed it was my site neither, unless you can prove otherwise.

The only way I can think of that you assumed it was "my site" because I'm listed as a part time moderator there, which only happened with in the past few weeks. For someone who hasn't been to the site in 2 years how could you ever come to such a conclusion? It's just funny you come off as knowing so much about me and that site, yet you haven't been there in a couple of years and seemingly are having discussions about this? Yeah, okay.

Also, I'm curious as to what comments on this site that I made that were going after other people's reviews?

I complimented the reviewer on their review, but pointed out the factual errors which are VERY important in a review if you're going to make mention of them, especially if it means taking or giving credit where it may not belong. I have no problem with MikeSN, and the point of me saying that they can be found in the album credits is for citation purposes. I meant no disrespect to the reviewer. I didn't say anything like he was wrong for his opinion either, as that wasn't the point.

Dang, I log on hoping to hear more comments on the new Alice album (which I like a lot) and I see high school junk. WYM- with all due respect I think you are the one who is wrong on this one. Longtee said she was going to drop this and YOU chose to keep it going. That's the bad thing about messageboards, you never know the context in which things are written. I don't think you meant anything by your initial post, but I could see how it would come across other. No offense.



Just to hopefully put an end to this insanity, I was once a member of an alice cooper group email list I think on yahoo, or whatever group it was before they switched to yahoo, and I remember distinctly a longtee posting on a regular basis and I recall reading about a few fans having met her and others at Alice shows. I would say the person is legit but simply has a differing opinion. I left that list years ago because some of the posters got ridiculous, but a buddy of mine still keeps me in the loop on Alice news. For example, I happen to know you are the administrator for the Nights With Alice Cooper site and I rarely if ever go on that site. It is not hard to find out information By the way, my name is Mike. It has been for as long as I can remember.



Okay, enough with first grade stuff. I just get ticked off because I hate when childish behavior takes over a messageboard, I have seen it happen too many times.



I have heard that Alice's new album is charting well in several countries. This is his biggest album in years. I would say that the tons of reviews (many good, some not as good) and perhaps the stuff SPV and the fans have done is really helping get the word out. As a hard rock fan, I am thrilled when old rockers can still place well on the charts. Good for Alice. If I were him, I would start adding new songs to the setlist and after this tour, not take too long off. This could be a big seller for him.This Message Edited On 08.05.08

Look I have no beef with you taylor. I shouldn't have involved myself in someone else's battle. I sure you were being smart (and if not I apologize), I just happen to think sputnik is a wonderful site that has great posters and talks about music. That is what I wanted to do here and then I see two posters fighting with one another and making accusations. I simply was stating I have seen it before with not just Alice, but a ton of other bands. We are all supposed to be fans, let's act like it .I don't want fighting here. Peace my friend!

I think "Along Came A spider" is awesome, definitely Cooper's best since "The Last Temptation".

If this really becomes the #1 for album for 2008, I... I... I don't know what I'll do.

It won't, don't worry. It's cool enough, but people will realise that it's not an amazing album if it becomes the number 1 album for 2008.
