No it doesn't tbqh. But I had an idea of what I was getting into though because I read that this was a heavier version of Nothingface with alot more technical prowess. I don't understand how a band who writes unique thrash like this could go fairly unnoticed. I guess people are just comforted by familiarity. How long have you been listening to these guys?

I think the opening paragraph to this review is the basic reason this band is so unnoticed. I think they were just ahead of their time. When this album came out it was just too soon to take the thrash sound and warp it this much.
I've been listening to these guys since 94', the Outer Limits album. My grandmother bought it for my birthday solely based on the fact that the album cover (and inside pages) were all in 3-D and it came with 3-D glasses and she thought I'd love that. I had never heard anything like that before.

Hahahaha oh nostaligic memories....and your grandma buys you metal (I know it's not for the reason of metal itself but still cool hahahaha).
Good point though with this band being ahead of its time. That's the way I feel about King Crimson (who obviously have an influence on this band as well). I hear people bringing up classic rock albums all the time and I say "Hey, what about In the Court of the Crimson King?". Most people, besides this site and around the internet have never heard the name dropped ever. Anyways, I will be listening to this while fishing hahahaha.

This was so good to listen to while fishing. Reeling in 14" Smallmouth Bass while listening to this was quite the experience.

Well, damn. Now that you finally got this I can't think of anything to bug you about... you have heard Anacrusis; right?

you have heard Anacrusis
I believe awhile back I gave their myspace page a go. Weren't they thrash?

Technical/proggy thrash. All their albums are free so a half-assed listen on Myspace isn't good enough ;) Unless, of course, you don't like thrash.
|

yeah Wiz, he even got me into Anacrusis, you should definitely give them a more thorough listen.

One of my favourite Voivod albums, though the new one is pretty sweet

@ Willie

Just find it (it's easy) and listen without any idea of what you're getting into ;)
@Lepercon: this is easily my favorite and I think that [/I]Killing Technolgy[/I] is still number 2, but their new one is still really good.

Nothingface was my my first Voivod and prog metal album and I really can't bring myself to enjoy any other Voivod album as much.

hey that's actually a good idea, I could do with a moment of surprise. Not today though, I am all over industrial today my friend
