good review bc you reinforce your underlying statements throughout. solid rhetoric is always appreciated.
the only thing this review made me do was dl the always open mouth, ha.
chan: dl 'burn, piano island, burn'. trust me. powerwink!(@*$#

i just got into the blood brothers. all i have is young machetes; burn piano island is coming in the mail
|
| |
very cool. young machetes was my life in 06.
also along these lines, the original fear before album is really under appreciated. 'odd how people shake' might be my favorite blueprint screamo album.
note: its sad you just got into the bb. their live shows were unreal.
second note: iaminsect: what sufjan are you listening to? i'm kinda a stevens afficionadoThis Message Edited On 07.18.08

Chan, as I have not heard this album and have nil preconceptions of the actual music, I thought this was a tremendous review. It flowed really well & you backed up everything you stated. Furthermore, you actually added information to the review, which topped it all off nicely.
In theory, I actually love the idea of having 2 discs from 2 different p.o.v's (and I think I sensed that if it was just that, you would have been fine with it), but you then went on to give reasons as to why the band took it too far and it all became "too much to take in".
Great review. Pos. Winner!

i really enjoy this expecially The Beginning from Nervosa. I dont really like Showbread because they do alot of crazy screaming & such that im not really into but its obvious that they put an incredible amount of effort into these two discs so i dont really think that it deserves a 2 but thats just me. But good review

second note: iaminsect: what sufjan are you listening to? i'm kinda a stevens afficionado illinois. it's the only sufjan i have...i might pick up seven swans or michigan at some point.

seven swans is his best album but romulus and vito's ordination song are two of my favorite tracks of ANY artist and their on michigan.
don't forget enjoy your rabbit. love that piece of art.

I picked up this album a couple of weeks ago, never hearing of Showbread before. I thought it was brilliant. I normally listen to metal but this had a visceral charm that attracted me. 4.5 from me.

I kinda disliked the sound on these 2 albums in general at first, but there are some good songs. But whats most important is that the story really works which you read to the music and thats the main plus for me...

i DO not agree. showbread is a great band it is not annoying and i had no idea they had anything to with christian music mostly because im not christian but they opened myself to the hard rock/metal christian music (which rules btw) and im sorry but i own all the albums and in the album Anorexia it is not based on "experimentation" nor does it contain any of your so called "experimentation" sorry but showbread rules and me and my friends (also not christian) agree with me and they hate for for what you wrote XD
P.S- showbread says: RAW ROCK KILLS
and they rule
