Great review, love this band. One thing bugs me though: there isn't any double bass on this album. Mike Novak uses a single pedal. You're hearing a series of two bass drum hits with toms in between, giving an illusion of double bass at times. Which is pretty awesome, if you ask me. Also, the production of the drums doesn't leave you wondering if there were any real drum sounds used at all on the album, like so many metalcore bands with "lightning-fast" double bass. This Message Edited On 01.31.09

Good review, fantastic album. One of the most original bands I've come across in a long time.

"This band stole their name from the Children of Bodom song, i dont care if they came up with it first they just did"
Dude, you're nuts! Keith Buckley is former english teacher and you trying to say that the former teacher could steal the name of the song from FINNISH band? This is ridiculous.

This album is great fun.
ETID aren't the greatest band of all time by any means, but I don't think that matters really, they're just quality fun music.
This album played at a party guarantees a good night (and alot of mayhem most likely...)
Spot on review, thumbs up from me =)

Love this album, but the fillers make it fall short.

There's at least a little filler on every ETID record, it just comes with the territory (in my opinion). I love this album. Contrary to a lot of people, I actually like a lot of the newer stuff by these guys more than Last Night In Town and at least as much as Hot Damn!. Great beer-chugging, smash-your-face-through-drywall music.

The breakdown at the end of cities and years is so good, yes I know the poster above me said that, but its so good it deserves to said twice in a row.

This kinda feels like NJA Lite at times. Don't get me wrong, there's some great shit on here. But the material on here as a whole just isn't as strong.
Plus, even the band themselves admit that the song sequencing on the album was off. It just doesn't flow as well as NJA.

I don't like this nearly as much as NJA, but i LOVE NJA, so go figure. album has some filler, no doubt, but the good tunes are damn good.
