A friend of mine turned me on to them. And, the first thing he said was that this band is massively under-rated. They've basically flown under the radar for the last three decades. Even when they got picked up by a major and had Rubin producing them, the stuff still didn't catch on with many. And, I really can't see why. It's really good. There's one other cat here that digs Doom. He goes by the tag - jrowa001. We were talking about the most recent Candlemass recording. If you want something that is similiar to what Trouble was doing in the early days, you gotta hear the new Candlemass. I haven't heard tons of Doom, but this record has to be the tightest Epic Doom concept album that I've heard. It's utterly flawless. It starts off strong and stays at that high level all the way through. Look under the review for Candlemass - King Of The Grey Islands. If you're not already familiar with it, you'll be wanting that one even before the new Trouble.

I went to go and write a review for the most recent 'Trouble' disc. Last year's 'Simple Mind Condition'. But, it's not listed in Sputnik's database. I added it, so where is this review??? ;)

Oh, snap! You cornered me. Now I'm gunna havta. But, I could sure use Epilogue's knowledge about the band's early years though. I don't wanna havta bullschitt my way through making believe that I know something about this band in the 80's and 90's. I don't.

Give YOUR history of the band (i.e. what you know based on whatever albums you've heard) and then just go into the review. Every review doesn't need a total rehash of the history (that's what the album listing page is supposed to have on it anyway).

I just began writing a review for 'Simple Mind Condition', along with one for Candlemass' King of the Grey Islands. Two recent recordings that I'm totally down with.
Epilogue, if you want a slammin', ballsy and expertly crafted DOOM album, you must be lookin' towards the new Candlemass. It's great. Better than great. Excellent. Gets better each spin. Try that one. And, if you like that, then you havta turn towars Solitude Aeturnus' 'Alone'.
There's four full -length samples here. But, this album is a concept piece and a lot of its appeal comes from the album's flow.

The singer's voice reminds me of Axl Rose.
And weirdly, i'm not complaining. Fits pretty well with the doomy riffs.
