5/5 for sure. The Clash's best album musically. It haddifferent genres all throughout it. Sure, I prefer their Self Titled over this album, but this album is groundbreaking.

I love the opening lyrics...

'there's a solitary man crying ''hold me''/ it's only because he's lonely/ and if the keeper of time runs slowly, he won't be alive for long.'

Great stuff.

man, that review was epic in every sense, and this is probably my 4th favorite album of all time. the sex pistols are a joke compared to this. favorite songs are london calling, spanish bombs, guns of brixton, and train in vain. they all get 6/5

Not a bad track on here. Your interpretation of 'Clampdown' is somewhat tame, however. It's not about working the 9-5, to say the least. It's about Nazis.

The bass riff is awesome, but insane is a little over-the-top. It's only three notes. The best bassline on the album is probably the title track, or Jimmy Jazz, because walking blues owns.

Gets my vote for greatest album of all time.

London Calling is simply flawless. Amazing from beginning to end.

I wouldn't call this is the greatest album of all time, but it is certaintly close.

There are no bad tracks, which is very rare when it comes to punk albums.
