Yeah I was reading through the songwriting credits in the booklet. Mick only has 2 or 3. Tommy has 1 (This ain't a love song). The rest were written by Nikki and James Micheal (both of whom are credited on all songs). DJ Ashba was credited on most of them as well.

I think this is a mediocre album. It is definitely an upgrade for their last several efforts, but it is still not a vintage Crue release. It sounds way too much like the Sixx AM album. Nikki Sixx was always the leader of the band, but it seemed like others had more say-so at one time time. Now it sounds more like a Nikki solo project. I must say Mick Mars deserves mroe credit than he gets as a guitarist.

some decent stuff here, but the chorus from chicks = trouble brings it down a couple of pegs.

I'm not a fan of this album. It just seems like they are trying to hard to be the Motley of old instead of just writing good songs, on the plus side Tommy's drumming is top notch on this album. The summary you wrote for this album is perfect "It too often sounds like something Nikki Sixx would expect Crue fans to like rather than the top-class rock n’ roll he’s capable of."

Been jammin this album quite alot lately. I used to really really REALLY be into the Crue when I was younger. Now I compare the Crue to Chinese Food: When Im in the mood, I must have it.

"Seriously, does anyone like ANY of the tracks (Post Dr Feelgood)..."

Ok let's be honest here, their 90's material is MILES better then Girls Girls Girls and Dr. Feelgood, those two album's were what was wrong with metal in the late 80's. John helped make the Self Title probly the second best album next to Shout at the Devil, easily.

These guys died after their self-titled. This is passable though.

I don't know why I've put this one off for the longest time and to be fair it wasn't really on my radar..but this really isn't that bad at all! Who would've though these old farts could still come back an make an enjoyable album? It's more of the same ol' shit you'd expect from crue, but whatever.. they brought the energy.

Fun as fuck!

First spin impressions: pretty solid from front to back honestly. Not a single amazing track, but nothing bad or grating. Sitting at a 2.5 or 3

Edit: okay I take it back, The Animal In Me absolutely rules
