This album is utterly brilliant. It's something I wouldn't usually be into, but it's such gritty indie with lots of folky vibes.

Lyrically, this is one of the best things I've ever heard

This is slowly climbing up to become my top fav. album release from 2008, only steps behind Moving Mountains' Pneuma.

Amazing. The lyrics have gotten me so hooked.

I like the second half of the cd better. Every song from The Twist on is great.

these guys are actually pretty good, my only problem is that indie is a very repetitive genre unlike metal for example, but these guys, after hearing a few songs, seem to distinguish them selves a bit. good job

This is really really good (as is the review.)

It feels like a more chilled out Minus the Bear in places, somewhere between them, Biffy Clyro and Damien Rice.

All of which is awesome. Think I need to give it some more listens and let it grow on me first though.

I feel like Minus the Bear is chiller then this. This has much more heart and emotion just by the vocals, and the music is less airy and more potently aesthetic.

I don't really see the Minus The Bear in this tbh. Minus The Bear have always come across to me as a band that uses a lot of intricacies and especially production to go a long way in their music whereas Frightened Rabbit are a lot more folky and less polished. Love both bands though.

lol at metal not being a repetitive genre, and it's my favorite genre (well what i generally listen to the most).

Excellent review!! My favourite is Poke and I kind of dislike Head Rolls Off just because of the lyrics, although I love the music and the vocals!! Hutchison's voice is beautiful
