So I was listening to some Linkin Park the other day and my friend told me to download this album, I gave it a go and found it quite pleasing, now someone give me a list of their best albums to download.
And is it irony that the album with such a gay yet badass cover I have seen has some of the best music I have ever heard?

sempel. I'd suggest you listen to 'takk...' first because its the easiest to get into.
Then if you still enjoy it go for some more rewarding albums like '( )' or 'Von'
Also, seeing that you seem new to a deeper musical scene, have fun reading reviews around here and listening to a lot of new music because your world is about to seriously open up if you put the time into what you listen to.
Here's a list of bands (and their albums) that I'd suggest you eventually try out:
Sufjan Stevens: Illinois
Animal Collective: Feels
At the Drive in: Relationship of Command
The Mars Volta: De-loused in the comatorium (might have to be inebriated for this one to sink in on the first go)
Atmosphere: When life gives you lemons, you paint that **** gold
Between the Buried and Me: Alaska (or colors )
Minus the Bear: planet of ice
Neutral Milk Hotel: in the aeroplane over the sea
The National: Boxer
Nick Drake: Pink Moon
Pavement: Slanted and Enchanted
Radiohead: OK Computer
Sonic Youth: Daydream Nation
Ween: chocolate and cheese
I recommend these because they are easy to get into but really can expand your musical horizons. enjoy!

Yes, we Sputnikians will teach you "good music" and save you from "bad music." We are gods like that.

OK, I don't really listen to Linkin Park, just though mentioning them with sigur ros would be lol.
Thanks for both lists brandtweathers, don't know any of those bands other than radiohead and The Mars Volta.

It's not ironic considering the singer is gay.
I listened to this again and it's still not giving me that special pants-willies feeling.

Ominous, I'm with you on that statement. One of the best offerings on the album. It's like they took a 7+ minute track on
"( )" and condensed it; keeping both the beauty and serenity in tact.

I can't see anything wrong with this. At all.
Can see a lot of brilliance, though.

I listened to this for the first time driving back from my parents. Its an hour and a half drive so I had time to soak it all in. The songs on this cd are more straightforward for the most part than earlier releases. But there is a moment on this cd that gave me a feeling I'd never felt before. The climax of the song Ára bátur was incredible. The first time I heard it, I got chills and my eyes teared up and I couldn't help but smile. It was the weirdest shit music has ever done to me. Maybe it just played into some of the things that were on my mind at the time, but none the less a great cd. I still prefer ( ) over anything else they've done though.
