PBP is hated on way too much imo, but this is definitely better. SID was pretty good too. Chaosweaver ftw.

Does anybody else sense a lot of Michael Rome influence in the guitar solos? Actually, some of the vocal melodies in the choruses of a few songs remind me of Sym X as well. That's awesome btw, not a bad thing.

It took me a few listens to get used to it. My first impression was that they sold out. but they have managed to use clean vocals in a different way without selling out like someone mentioned.

Don't get me wrong, I liked PBP a lot (3.5) but there just seemed to be a lot of disposable songs.

This doesn't suffer from that in the least, every track is solid, it's really easy to listen to this beginning to end

I haven't checked their other albums out. The Illusionist sounded like a pretty cool song though, as did dreaming 24/7.



This album is setting high expectations for me though, so i'm expecting their other too not to be as good reading all these comments.

Miseration is decent, but I like this band better.

this is the first album I have heard by these guys. I am liking it a lot, they are a breath of fresh air in the melodic metal genre. It just sounds a bit different from other bands in the genre, it is pretty awesome.
