Just disregard HighandDriving and listen the the EP, it's 10 times better than the full-lengths.

The Ep is terrible, and this LP is a huge step down from On Frail Wings. The new songs had no energy live but as soon as they played something from OFWOVAW the crowd got into it.

I disagree. Not a decent followup: Alesana wen't from being raw, and pouring emotion to just following the motion.

Their production quality actually dropped on the followup, which is the opposite of how its supposed to work.

The guitar layers and layers into a messy wall of noise, not a good wall like some crazy death/thrash/math-core music, but just white noise.

The screams became too steady, losing all fun. The cleans, sound the same actually.

Overall, a huge letdown from OFWOVW, and this was eclipsed by their 3rd album.
