Chances are it did have some of influence on the song, but it was mainly based off of Julian's drawing.

Yeah it's in this book I have on them about all their songs and I think maybe on the anthology videos im not sure. even with that though, I find it hard to believe it didn't have some drug influences.

A lot of the shit the Beatles did where everyone thought they were high as a kite were seriously just kid's stories that they made up. Take Yellow Submarine for example.

i'd rather live in a state of denial and keep thinking it's a clever song about drugs.

well, I know that story about Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds and that they claim to have found out about the acronym only after people pointed it out to them. But I don't believe them. All four of them have been taking drugs (since they played in Hamburg I believe), no one's gonna deny that. And while it can be true that the ideas for songs like Yellow Submarine and Lucy have come from children's paintings, I can't believe that they missed the obvious suggestivenesses of the lyrics. Of course, no one except the fab four themselves can know what really influenced these songs, no matter on how many websites those stories are told (I know they said so, but that doesn't mean it's true). But it's so extremely implausible that they didn't notice those references themselves, that I simply can't believe it.

Whenever I think of The Beatles, I think of the movie I Am Sam.

Did you know "Yesterday" originally began, before Paul had written any lyrics, with "Scrambled eggs"? And I am proud that I just wasted thousands of brain cells on remembering that useless item which I will never need to know to live a happy and successful life.
