Ya I've definitely seen more than 3 reviews for an album in one day. This is an Opeth album too, seeing how everyone drools over them here I was actually expecting more.
I just can't love this album. It has too many flaws.

I've listened to this a lot and it's just leaving me luke warm. It's good at points but feels a little uninspired. I'm not a big Opeth guy but originally ireally liked this...now when my friend puts Porcelain on i want to stab him in the heart. I don't know yet but i'm going to say this is just okay...

However, we’re coming up on a decade since Still Life was released and seven years since Blackwater Park made its impression, and Opeth still remain nearly the same, for better or worse.
Their most diverse album to date. Sounds like their old stuff but they really throw in alot of new elements.
I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed, but Opeth have a distinct riff they play in the background during the heavier moments of the album which sounds nearly exactly the same every time.
This is prevelant in most metal albums so I don't look at this as a drawback.
Other than that, really solid review Crysis. I'm glad you have an unbiased view of this album. Makes for a better review in the end.

they have a drum beat they do a lot too. i don't have watershed yet so i have to use a different album as an example, but one of the times they do it in the baying of the hounds between about 3:15 and 5:15.
