^What don't you like about Heart Songs lyrics? Thats really the entire point of listening to that song. I thought it was a cool way of namechecking various artists and songs, all leading up the overdriven Niravana based final verse.

This album is fucking terrible, aside from one, maybe two tracks. This Message Edited On 06.03.08

Make Believe is the shittiest album of 2005, of course this is better! This Message Edited On 06.03.08

For some reason I realy like this album. Besides the Greatest man that ever lived.

I absolutely adore this album, best since Pinkerton I honestly believe.
^^ The greatest man that ever lived is the best song. Pork and beans, dreamin' and the Angel and the one are new Weezer classics.
Granted the lyrics are downright awful, but the vocal delivery on this album is spectacular. This Message Edited On 06.03.08

The best since Pinkerton, which really isn't saying much.

I don't think I'd want to go back to this for a straight listen, but I'd go back for "Troublemaker," "Pork and Beans," "Dreamin," and "The Angel and the One" (which is actually awesome)

I totally agree with the review right now. Pork and Beans and Greatest Man rock, but the lyrics are just shit.

About half of the songs really bother me, the other half is good.

If this was Weezer's first album you would have rated higher. That's my problem with ALL Weezer reviews. People need to forget Blue/Pinkerton, cause this is a different band.

That different band kind of sucks...
|
| |
actually it's pretty much the exact same band. the couple of line-up changes that they have had have been very minor. same drummer, same singer, same 2 guitarists

He means like how they sound or something... I don't know what he's trying to say.

Their sound is different. People expect their old stuff, and it's just not gonna happen. The Red Album is the best of Nu-Weezer.
|
| |
i understand they sound different. i don't hold them up to any standards except that i expect that they actually make good songs. Make Believe is a sorry excuse for music. without any comparing, Make Believe is flat out horrible

Maladroit is also terrible, and Green is just boring. This is really the best since then, which as I said before, isn't saying much.

public service announcement - Weezer fans need to stop being such whiny little pussies and open their ears.
Seriously how long can you debate the same thing, drawing the same conclusion every time, even when you've already seen the album being shit as an inevitability without going for a different outlook?!This Message Edited On 06.05.08

"Weezer fans need to stop being such whiny little pussies..."
Yes, because they it's not like they listen to lyrics written by a whiny little pussy or anything.
