they didn't release february stars because they thought it would "alienate" their fanbase

I think "February Stars" is an awesome song. Are you trying to say it sucks? Do you say it sucks because it was written during the Nirvana-era of DG's life? Does that mean you hate "Friend of a Friend?" Sorry, I just haven't been online in a while and wanna type something.

not quite
it's a great song, but the rest of the album doesn't have the same feel

This is Foo Fighters best album IMO. Nearly every song is
great and Everlong, My Hero and Hey, Johnny Park are
all superb.
Has anyone else noticed that Foo Fighters aren't under
'F' in the search?

This is tied with In Your Honor for best Foos album. I would put this one a little lower because of some of the more filler-ish tracks. But yeah, amazing album.

not a bad review. the thing that makes this album excellent compared to grohl's last two poor quality offerings is the fact that a) the foo fighters embrace melody and b) grohl sings rather than shouting unconditionally

Great album pure genius pop rocks finest such talent lyrically and musically My Hero, Everlong, Hey, Johnny Park! and Monkey wrench classic tracks Grohl is a legend and the band iconic. Forget the overated hype surrounding Kurt and his gun there was hidden genius behind the skins. Top album.

Dave's magnificent! New Way Home is a very-very good song also.

One Of the best 90's record I love the sound the Foo Fighters make the song "Up In Arms" it goes from S-L-O-W to a great fast beat and it's a grate song to play for a girl you like

Well pimp, we can finally agree on something. Jolly good.
And Everlong is one of the best songs ever. Appeals to everybody, it seems, whether young, old, rock fan, metal fan, punk, pop, whatever. I've honestly never met a person who hasn't liked it when I asked them.
To see Dave play it solo during their last tour gave me chills...it was a great moment. And then they band joined him for the last chorus...
Wow *wipes tear from eye* God bless you, Mr Grohl.

A good album but their music isnt as appealing as nirvanas. Hey, Johnny park! is a great song along with new way home, monkey wrench and my poor brain.
